A castle
A Castle stood upon a rock
A castle bright and fair
With gates and windows open wide
To life, to joy and care
And travellers in much need of rest
Therein would be a welcome guest
Then on some cloudy winter's day
A stranger entered in
With many words of flattery
Layed low the courts within.
Placed his wants and selfish pride
Pushed all others needs aside.
There’s little of this tale to tell
For in the end the castle fell
Fell to the enemy within
Fell to the hidden powers of sin.
