Ingrids Auswahl - Ingrids Poetry (58)

Then that which you have decided to DO -DO
Patience in life’s battles will see you through.

Beyond the dark clouds of trouble and strife
Hide glorious visions of splendour and light

Gifts

There is a little Someone not even five feet tall.
Still when I see her my soul swells-
Beyond our Garden Wall.
For in her Hand she holds a Key,
A Key to Heart and Soul,
And with her Pen she writes the Words
That make the Wounded whole.
It is a Gift –a Gift from Heav’n.
Given to those who Love.
It is a Treasure to be shared
From our Dear God above.
Our Lives are filled with Miracles.
If we could only see-
Beyond the frail-the old-the sick-
Beyond the four feet three.

Written for Laurel,
A wonderful example of grace and compassion.

Questions
What would man be without god’s word?
A cloud without a sky,
A fish without the deep blue sea,
A bird that cannot fly.
What would man be without god’s love?
The earth without the sun,
A flower without water,
A deer that cannot run.

What would man be without god’s grace?
An arrow without goal,
A child without a mother,
A wheel, that cannot roll.

What would man be without God’s plan?
A journey soon to end
A life devoid of faith and hope,
A soul without a friend.

Golden Nuggets

Times faithful on daily duties spent
Are better than lofty dreams my friend.

To be free does not mean to do as we please
But to want to do that which is required of us.

Perfection

In the depths of the oceans kind loving breast,

Some little stones lay in timeless rest

Longing for the blessed day,

When the currents flow would bear them away

To the coastline, the water’s edge let us go.

Know of sunshine, wind, thunder and rain,

Toss under us waves, lift up us again.

Wear off these rough edges,

Don’t spare us the pain.

For someday ”He “

whilst passing by, will bend to pick

from the foreshores wide land.

With words of praise and joyous heart,

You and I to take home, as glittering gems.

Hearts of stone

All the mountains, all the oceans

Show their ever-true devotions

Oft the human heart alone

Turns away, is cold as stone.

All the creatures on this earth

In due seasons show their worth

Oft the human heart alone

Turns away, is cold as stone.

Every tree and every flower

Praise the name of God each hour

Oft the human heart alone

Turns away is cold as stone

Father help our eyes to see,

Love alone can set us free

Love alone will guide us home

To warm the hearts, left cold as stone.
