Hope (2)
God, Father of mankind
In our hearts you planted
A little seedling, called hope
A seed that nurtures human hearts,
Helps fearful, dauting souls to cope,
Whenever storm clouds hover round
When our feet walk on slippery ground.
Many a trial throughout life we endure,
Before we reach that promised shore.
Before our weary eyes will see,
Hope’s skilful woven Tapestry.
The greatest Treasure
The greatest Treasure of the Soul
To scatter strife, to make us whole
Is to know the holy name of Jesus.
He guards us, he is always there,
Hears each honest heartfelt prayer.
Calms our hearts, shares our grief
In times of trial brings sweet relive,
Take hold of the Saviours hand,
Follow to blessed Emanuel’s Land
To meadows green, to Valleys fair.
Learn of the wonders he will share,
With all the souls he won on earth.
Hearts who found the glorious worth
Souls who have heard his quiet plea.
Come, come my Friends, come follow me.
