Drowning
Drowning
in the waters of our feelings,
Holding
to the ores upon life’s sea,
Longing
to touch stars so high above us,
And
for blessed peace to set us free.
Refugees
Come
all ye nations come, come let us freely share
The
needles pain and grief refugees must bear.
No
place on earth they call their own.
No
spot they lovingly call home.
Souls forced
to flee and run
From
hate and firing gun.
And none
be there to recall, how it began at all.
Burned
down lay field and house
Unburied
son and spouse.
Lost,
lost the plot of soil
Were once
by sweet and toil,
They
laboured for their daily share of bread.
Gone,
gone are friends and loving kin
Left
are but tears and grief within
Oh! the
fearful plied were every day and night,
They suffer,
In pain and sorrow hear their silent plea.
Praying
great God ‘Allah ‘help us
Tomorrows
dawn to see
