Drowning
Drowning in
the waters of our feelings,
Holding to
the ores upon life’s sea,
Longing to touch distant scene’s above,
And peace to set us free.

The greatest Love
The love a mother feels for her child.
Or a father for his own?
Love between a husband and wife
Or for Parents from daughter or son?
Or is it the love for our fellow men,
Called Brother and sister of mine?
I wish to make labels one, two, three
Then set them all up in a line.
Jet hard as I try to work it all out
Surprising results do I find,
For without my parents now where would I be?
Without husband my little once could not be.
And children in the future will seek
For happiness sake another,
The kind we know and recognise, as a sister or a brother.
So round and round in circles goes the rhythm of life forever,
No use to try to work it all out, for it will not work, no never.
Of equal importance eternally stand, for one lends life to the other.
Only one that stands out, is the greatest of all
It’s the love for our Saviour Jesus Christ
And our gracious Heavenly Father.
Thoughts
Smoke from the Campfire drifting by, soon disappears in an endless sky,
Lost in my thoughts, dreaming am I, Trees standing tall, blanked the ground
Leaves murmur sweet lullaby sounds.
Once in a while
Once in a while we all need a friend, once in a while the touch of a hand.
Once in a while a loving smile, everyone needs these things once in a while
Once in a while a wish or two, once in a while that wish to come true
Once in a while we need someone to share, everyone needs someone’s loving Care.
Once in a while a warm embrace, once in a while a familiar face
Once in a while a shoulder to cry on, everyone needs someone’s strength to relay on
Once in a while the wind in your hair, once in a while a day without care
Once in a while on the top of a hill, everyone needs some time to be still
Once in a while hear the voice that’s within, once in a while we all need to begin
To know the best gifts are a dear friend’s warm smile
The reason we need a friend once in a while.
